Local Guidelines
a) ACC Non-Dependency --
Because local council funding is not intended to be used as the sole source of funding for projects of a continuing nature, we encourage funding from other sources. In the first year of a particular program, we may elect to give a large grant. Over time, however, the percentage of the project budget coming from the ACC is expected to decrease. A good rule of thumb is that if the same project has been funded by the ACC at the same level for three years in a row, it violates the non-dependency criteria. When we say same project, we mean that the project has no differences or variations from year to year. A project may appear to be the same, but if it has a different theme, different people involved, or serves a different audience, it would not be considered to be the same project.
b) Local sponsors are strongly encouraged for out of town applicants.
c) Artists/applicants are not eligible during consecutive years.
