The Carver Cultural Council administers funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency that fully funds the Carver Cultural Council, via an annual grant cycle. For the FY2016 Grant Cycle, the Carver Cultural Council has been allocated $4,800 to award grant applicants.
Primary consideration is given to grants that feature performances, exhibitions, creative programs, and artistic ventures by local talent for the benefit and enjoyment of the Carver community.
Primary consideration is also given to grants that include cultural field trips for our Carver community.
The Carver Cultural Council is also the proud sponsor of the Carver Old Home Day Art Show which is held annually on the last Saturday of July at Shurtleff Park on Main Street in Carver. The Art Show is open to Carver residents of all ages in drawing, painting, and photography categories. Awards include cash prizes, ribbons, and a People's Choice award.
