Applications for the 2010 grant cycle will be available in the Chatham Town Hall, as well as online, beginning on September 15, 2009 for the October 15, 2009 deadline. No applications will be accepted outside this grant cycle. The Chatham Cultural Council provides guidance and grant writing assistance with applications at its annual workshop to be held at the Eldredge Public Library on Main Street in Chatham from 10:30 to 12:30pm on Saturday, September 26th.

Funding Priorities
Local cultural enrichment and community benefit is first and most important priority. We encourage partnerships with other Towns as long as Chatham residents benefit. We do not fund the same project content more than three times. The Chatham Council fundraising success means that for FY2010 cycle, additional funds will be available to qualified recipients--see local guidelines below.
The Chatham Council does not grant out of the annual MCC cycle.

Local Chatham Cultural Council Guidelines:
When applying for grants applicants are requested to provide one original copy plus 15 review copies, (15 plus the original). However, an application will still be given full consideration if extra copies are not enclosed.
Applications for grants for the benefit of local schools, libraries, the Council on Aging, etc. should include a letter of support from the organization. Applications aimed to local schools must provide evidence that the applicant or applicant organization has contacted the school or teachers and provide name of this contact and letter of support.
Other applications must include specific planning for a Chatham venue for any event preferably with a Chatham organization. Whenever possible, activities funded by local cultural councils should be available to the general public, primarily in Chatham, by exhibit, performance, demonstration, reading, or other means.
