Applications for the 2012 grant cycle will be available in the Chatham Town Hall, as well as online, beginning on September 15, 2011 for the October 15, 2011 deadline. No applications will be accepted outside this grant cycle.
The Chatham Cultural Council provides guidance and grant writing assistance with applications at its annual workshop to be held at the Eldredge Public Library on Main Street in Chatham from 10:30 to 12:30 on Saturday, September 24th.

Funding Priorities
The Chatham Council's fundraising efforts means that for FY12 grant cycle, additional funds will be available to qualified recipients--see local guidelines below. The Chatham Council does not grant out of the annual MCC cycle.
Community benefit is our top priority. For FY12, the Council has set aside funds for projects in Celebration of Chatham 300. Parameters for these grants follow those Guidelines set forth by the MCC
Local Guidelines
Grant applicants are requested to provide one original, plus 11 review copies, (12 total). Applications are still given full consideration if extra copies are not enclosed.
Applications for grants benefitting local schools, libraries, the Council on Aging, etc. should include a letter of support. For school venues, applicants must contact the principal or teacher(s), and provide a contact name and letter of support for the grant.
Applications benefitting Chatham organizations must include a specific date and venue, with a letter of support by the organization. Whenever possible, activities funded by local cultural councils should be available to the general public, primarily in Chatham, by exhibit, performance, demonstration, reading, or other means.
