Funding Priorities
Easthampton : In Character
The Easthampton Cultural Council is pleased to announce cultural council grant opportunities for 2010!
Applications are encouraged in fields which celebrate the unique collaborations which make Easthampton the thriving community that it is, and especially which address the theme:
Easthampton : in character
Who is Easthampton? What are the characteristics, qualities, and traits that define the community, the geography, the people? What makes Easthampton Easthampton?
Information about the grants process will be available at Old Town Hall, 43 Main Street, at the September 12 ArtWalk and the October 10 ArtWalk. (Saturday; 5 pm to 8 pm)
The deadline for applications for 2010 Cultural Council grants is October 15, 2009. Additional information can be found at the web page for the Massachusetts Cultural Council:

All applications, regardless of category, will be reviewed for their merit and community benefit.
Local Guidelines
-- Projects must be written specifically for Easthampton.
-- Projects should be well-planned: include appropriate support materials, detailing a specified date, time and location.
-- Projects should further the diversity in Easthampton's programming in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences.
-- Where appropriate, projects should demonstrate community support (i.e. if you are planning to present your project in a public space, include letters of support or commitment to use the space; if your project is to benefit a particular group, include letters of support from that group.)
-- Applications must include a completed grant application for each council member -- please provide 10 copies of this form (only one copy of support material is needed).
-- Support material will not be returned.
