Grant Cycle Timeline
During December, non-streamlined LCCs submit copies of all grant applications and their Summary to MCC and mail preliminary approval letters. From December to February, MCC reviews all applications submitted by non-streamlined LCCs. In March, MCC notifies all LCCs of its decisions.
Non-streamlined Path

During December through March, non-streamlined LCCs must complete several steps:

  1. LCCs submit their Summary to MCC through the Online Office and mail a copy of all applications to MCC after the reconsideration process, but no later than January 15.

  2. When the applications are received, MCC reviews LCC-approved grants.

  3. Once the MCC confirms the preliminary review of the applications in complete, LCCs mail out preliminary approval letters. View a sample preliminary approval letter.

  4. In March, the MCC board approves or disapproves the applications approved by non-streamlined LCCs. MCC then notifies these LCCs of its decisions.
