LCC Program

Did You Know?
"Through participation in cultural activities, people get to know one another and become aware and proud of the resources of a common community."

—Harry Saal, civic entrepreneur ( The Creative Community: Leveraging Creativity and Cultural Participation for Silicon Valley's Economic and Civic Future )

Local Autonomy

MCC encourages LCCs to be active participants in the cultural development of their municipality. LCCs have autonomy to gather input from the community, develop review criteria specific to their needs, and organize the work of their council in the best way they see fit.
