What We Do
The Marblehead Cultural council is one of 351 local organizations that are funded directly from the Massachusetts Cultural council. We use our allocation to support community cultural activities. Board members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen. We review applications and award grants. We also accept and review applications from schools and youth groups for a ticket subsidy program.
The Cultural Council meets at the Marblehead Community Center, Humphrey Street. Four meetings are scheduled August through November. Generally two additional meeting are scheduled between December and July. The Cultural Council is a very "hands-on" board and is always looking for people who are interested in and enthusiastic about expanding the availability of the arts in Marblehead

Completed grant applications should be mailed to the Marblehead Cultural Council, PO Box 1217, Marblehead, MA 01945 before October 15th each year.
During the fall of 2014, a community input survey is being distributed throughout town to check on community awareness, interest and to determine funding priorities for the next three years.
