LCC Program Guidelines (PDF)
The postmark deadline for applications is October 15
Funding Priorities
Priority will be given to events scheduled to benefit the year-round community of Martha's Vineyard, not just the summertime population.
Local Guidelines
Grant applicants who are not based in one of the six towns of the Island of Martha's Vineyard must have a local partner or host. Off-Island applications must include a letter of support from their Martha's Vineyard sponsor specifically describing how this project would benefit the Island community.
The deadline for extension requests is the next October 1 that follows the receipt of your grant letter.
An example: You submit your grant application by the deadline of October 15, 2011, and you receive a grant-award letter dated December 1, 2011. Under program guidelines, you have one year from the date of the award letter to complete your project and request reimbursement.
But if you needed time beyond December 1, 2012 to complete your project and request reimbursement, you would have to request an extension from the council by October 1, 2012. Granting of that extension is not automatic and is subject to the vote of the full council.
