Medway Cultural Council

The Medway Cultural Council is one of 329 councils serving communities across Massachusetts. Its mission is to promote excellence, access, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in order to enhance the quality of life in our community. The MCC strives to achieve these goals through the funding of local arts projects and programs with grants, and by hosting special winter, spring, summer and fall events in Medway.

News & Events

Through music, pianist Deborah Wyndham shares the history of our nation's first 'pop' music: ragtime. Also the beginnings of jazz, ragtime has gone on to influence many other musicians and styles of music. With different ethnic musical influences and at first rejected by society for its unusual, syncopated rhythm and venues where it was played, ragtime later on received wide acclaim and its popularity spread fast. Ragtime is an important part of our American musical heritage. Performance to be held at Medway Public Library on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 7:00pm.
