Millis Cultural Council

The Millis Cultural Council is one of 329 councils serving communities across Massachusetts. Its mission is to promote excellence, access, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in order to enhance the quality of life in our community. The MCC strives to achieve these goals through the funding of local arts projects and programs with grants, and by hosting special spring and fall events in Millis. 2015 MILLIS FILM FESTIVAL Submissions For the 2nd Annual Millis Film Festival Now Open! The Millis Cultural Council is pleased to announce that the call for submissions are now open for narrative, documentary or animated films. Come be a part of our celebration of local filmmaking through the 2015 Millis Film Festival. Each of the films for narrative, documentary and animation will have a student and adult and student level award; there will be a separate general category for Middle School entries. Qualifying films will be announced by the end of January; all qualifying films will be screened at the Festival, to be held on March 1, 2014. The location of the film screenings and festival will be held at a location in Millis. The submissions deadline is January 15, 2015. The Millis Film Festival will feature an audience award, and also juried prizes for documentary and narrative feature films. The Juried Prizes will carry cash prizes to be determined. The 2015 Millis Film Festival seeks to give the opportunity for filmmakers and film lovers alike to be entertained, and enlightened. Sponsored by the Millis Cultural Council, the Festival seeks to rejoice and recognize accomplished artists on both sides of the camera from our local film community.
