The Southbridge Cultural Council priorities for applications include (with no order of importance) the following categories:
Southbridge applicants(individuals), artists, performers,private non-profit organization, schools, library, and religious groups.
Applicants from other parts of the state are also considered with the same criteria restrictions.
New applicants, art forms and humanities under represented, and projects interested in promoting cultural diversity in the community are considered.
Location and venue
The activity must take place in Southbridge.
The venue and date must be confirmed BEFORE the online application is submitted.
The event must be open to the public and be handicapped accessible.
A change of venue / or date of event requires a job modification letter to the SCC for approval by the SCC before the event /performance takes place.
Marketing and Promotion
The event must be promoted according to the criteria rules of the MCC and SCC. Refer to the grant acceptance letter when received in January 2017 and refer also to the MCC website on Contract/Requirements for specifics. In some instances the use of the MCC logo is acceptable. ALL promoted / published materials must recognize the SCC support and the MCC support, and must be submitted with the reimbursement form.
The reimbursement form with all documented published materials must be submitted no later than one year from the grant acceptance letter of January 2017 with no exceptions.Reimbursement funds are processed only after the event / performance takes place
For FY2017, the deadline date for applications is Monday, October 17, 2016 with no exceptions.
The SCC will only accept applications submitted via the online form. No paper applications will be accepted.
New to field trips for 2017 - applications use the MCC standard form.
For field trips, the SCC funds only the student admission portion and requires the same criteria as MCC.
