Tewksbury Cultural Council

The Tewksbury Cultural Council is accepting new members. Residents should apply online to be considered by the Town Board of Selectmen. Please follow this link to the New Citizen Activity Form: https://tewksburymaboards.vt-s.net/newcaf.php

Our local council generally meets in November to consider applications for grant funding from the allocation made to the town by the MA Cultural Council. It is a public meeting, posted on the town website calendar. Applicants and the interested public are encouraged to attend.

Priorities for this council are based on a mission to serve a broad and diverse audience of residents, serving all age groups with public access to a variety of cultural programs as presented by our applicants.

FY24 Local Priorities

The local Tewksbury council will review the applications in a public meeting in Tewksbury, with the date to be posted on the town website. We encourage applicants to attend. We review applications with a priority toward benefit for our local community. Therefore, if you are an applicant from outside our local community, your application will carry substantially more preference if you arrange approval and agreement of a venue with one of our local host organizations in advance, and include a letter from the local host.
We also encourage new cultural programing, and give priority to new grant requests over annual applications looking for continued or sustained funding.

FY24 Local Guidelines

The following guidelines must be met PRIOR to submitting a Grant Application to the Tewksbury Cultural Council:
1. All performances/services must be pre-arranged and location noted on the application.
2. All performances/services must benefit Tewksbury residents.
3. All deadlines must be adhered to, including reimbursement or extension requests.
