Funding Priorities
The Weymouth Cultural Council is a group of interested residents whose purpose is to support local public programs that promote access, education, diversity and excellence in the arts and humanities to benefit the residents of Weymouth. The WCC has an important role in insuring that cultural opportunities are made accessible to all segments of the community, including youth, elders and the handicapped. Preference will be given to performances, events, established artists and organizations based in Weymouth or supporting the residents of Weymouth.
Local Guidelines
NOTE: WE ARE NO LONGER FUNDING FIELD TRIP GRANTS. As in the past, we continue not to fund science visits or events .... Massachusetts-based individuals, artists, nonprofit community groups, cultural institutions and schools may apply. Applications must be completed in full, and MUST include a specific artist, date and venue. A confirmation letter from the venue should be included confirming the location and date. Grant applications, typed or written legibly, should be submitted to Weymouth Cultural Council, c/o Weymouth Town Hall, 75 Middle Street, Weymouth, MA 02189. Only the original application is to be mailed - NO COPIES are required. Applications must be postmarked by, or dropped off at Town Hall, no later than Saturday, October 15, 2011.
