Local Guidelines
Among the Ideas and suggestions for the Council were inviting artists and craftspeople to donate items for an auction to support the Council, a request for artistic teaching classes, presentation of Arts in the Park, and to work with the excellent art program in place at the high school. Survey answers also suggested a whole list of types of events aimed at bringing the community together and emphasizing a focus on children. Music, theater, and puppet shows were often suggested. Much enthusiasm for the summer band concerts in the Park was evident. Science and the environment received some attention, a small amount. The emphasis of everything was on local projects and support.
