The Worcester Cultural Commission will host a Community Input Meeting on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at WCUW Radio, 910 Main Street, Worcester. FREE and Open to the Public - all encouraged to join us! The Worcester Cultural Commission will host the 3rd Annual Art in the Park sculpture exhibit in Elm Park August - October 1, 2010.

Funding Priorities
Based on community input for 2010, WCC will give priority consideration to funding innovative and creative music, visual arts, arts education events and programming, as well as cultural events that foster arts collaboration in the community. The purpose of the WCC grant program is to promote and maintain the vitality of local cultural resources, and to ensure that these resources are shared with the Worcester community. The Commission is committed to funding a diverse cross-section of activities. The Commission supports a broad variety of cultural activities.
Local Guidelines
Organizations and Individual Artists must have a current residence or studio street address in Worcester County and must be Worcester County resident for at least one year. Post office boxes are not acceptable. Funded program/event must take place within the City of Worcester during calendar year 2010. Projects funded in the previous three (3) years are not eligible for funding.
FELLOWSHIP: For 2010, the WCC will award two awards of $4,000 to assist an individual in developing artistic work.
