QUINCY ARTS COUNCIL COMMUNITY INPUT MEETING
TUESDAY, JUNE 29, 5:30 – 7:00 PM
AT QUINCY HISTORICAL SOCIETY, ADAMS ACADEMY, 8 ADAMS ST.
Quincy Arts Council will hold a community input and information meeting on Tuesday June 29, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Quincy Historical Society, the Adams Academy Building, 8 Adams Street in Quincy Center. Quincy Arts Council is responsible for distributing Local Cultural Council grant funds from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to community organizations and artists. Members of the public are invited to attend to learn more about the Council, its mission, and grant-making process and to offer reactions and recommendations to the Council. The meeting is open to everyone. Parking is available in the lot at the rear of the Adams Academy building.

QUINCY ARTS COUNCIL
LCC GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES
The Quincy Arts Council invites applications for 2010 Local Cultural Council (LCC) grants from individuals and organizations providing programs in Quincy in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences.
The deadline for applications is Thursday, October 15, 2009.
To obtain an application, click on the Forms tab. Be sure to follow the instructions specified by Mass Cultural Council that accompany the application form. In addition when submitting to Quincy Arts Council, the following guidelines also apply:
1. The application must be typed.
2. Be sure to fill out the entire application. Try to restrict your responses to the spaces provided.
3. Make sure you sign the application.
Submitting the Application:
1.Applicants must submit one completed original application form and fourteen (14) copies.
2. If you have never received a grant from the Quincy Arts Council, please attach one copy of a brief resume of your professional career or a brief history of your organization.
3. Applications should be submitted to: Quincy Arts Council, c/o Quincy Historical Society, Adams Academy Building, 8 Adams Street, Quincy MA 02169.
4. Applications that are mailed must be post-marked not later than October 15.
5. Applications may be hand-delivered. Hand-delivered applications must arrive at Quincy Historical Society, 8 Adams Street in Quincy, by no later than 4:00 PM on October 15.
6. E-mailed or faxed applications cannot be accepted.
7. Late applications cannot be considered for grants.
Award decisions will be made by December 15, 2009.
