We encourage all art forms. Princeton does require that a performer/artist has a local sponsor interested in having them come to do a presentation. Some examples are our library, the Thomas Prince School, the Princeton Arts Society, Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary, the Congregational church, and the Historical Society. If you aren't familiar with them or they with you, you may invite members of any of those organizations or our cultural council to attend one of your events so we can see for ourselves if there might be some interest.
News & Events
NEWS: The Princeton Cultural Council will hold three workshops on applying for grants. The first one is on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7th at 1:00 pm in the Town Hall Annex, which is a small building behind Bagg Hall (6 Town Hall Drive) in the center of town, where Route 62 and Route 31 meet. The second one is on AUGUST 21st at 4:00 pm at the same location, and the last one will be on SEPTEMBER 16th at 1:00 pm. There will be applications there for people to use and it's a good opportunity to ask any questions about the process and what's fundable.
We have sponsored poetry readings, shadow puppet shows, a Japanese Kamishibai storyteller, a regional art exhibit at the Fitchburg Art Museum, and some fun educational programs for children at the Princeton Library this year!
