Funding Priorities
This year the Cultural Council is trying to fund events that happen within the Town of Russell. Possible sponsors include the Library, The Council on Aging, the Recreation Committee, and the Elementary School. A survey in 2007 indicated a strong town preference for funding events for students in the schools and events for seniors.
Local Guidelines
In recent years, many recipients have failed to provide visibility for the Cultural Council by posting signs at events or including appropriate wording in press releases. The guidelines for acknowledging your funding publicly will be better monitored in the future, and failure to follow them could influence our future decisions.
