The Sandwich Cultural Council supports and promotes local projects and programs of interest to the residents of Sandwich. Funds are awarded for programs in the arts (including performance, music, visual, crafts, media, folk, design, literary, and interdisciplinary arts), humanities (including history, social studies, philosophy, criticism, and literature), and interpretive sciences (engaging people in learning about nature, science, and technology in ways that connect to their lives).
Applicants must meet all MCC state and local funding criteria.

The Sandwich Cultural Council conducted its 3 year Community Input Survey this summer. The survey was available on-line through the town's website. The Council also had a hard copy of the survey available at its information booth at the Town's annual "Sandwichfest".
The results of Sandwich’s survey indicated the top 3 areas of funding priorities as: community-wide gatherings, development of local artists through community projects, and arts education in the schools. The top 3 population segments to reach through funding of cultural projects are: families, teens, and seniors.
