The Shelburne LCC seeks to fund projects of strong artistic and cultural value which have a clearly stated plan to attract and benefit the residents of Shelburne and West County. We seek to fund a variety of projects aimed at children/school audiences, adult/senior audiences and family entertainment audiences, and to balance our grant awards among these constituencies. All funded projects must meet MCC requirements.
Projects presented by local artists and cultural organizations will be considered highly competitive. We strongly encourage applicants to team up with a local organization to jointly present a cultural project which has a specified program/event date, a marketing plan for attracting the target audience to the program, and a contingency plan for partial grant funding. Due to the large number of active local cultural organizations in West County, the Shelburne LCC does not produce its own cultural programs and discourages spec applications for that purpose.
An online application will be available September 1, 2016
