Funding Priorities
Requests should not exceed 50% of the cost of the proposed project or activity. South Hadley community groups or artists are a priority. Documentation of other funding resources in the application budget will help you compete more successfully.
Local Guidelines
Application forms may be obtained online at www.mass-culture.org. Average grant awards tend to be modest. Considerations include community benefit, how the project will engage South Hadley residents, financial need, project quality and planning, seriousness of artistic intent, evidence of ability to successfully complete the project, and clarity of the proposal. For event-related projects, the application must include a secured date and site, or the applicant must be able to submit documentation explaining why that was not accomplished prior to submission of the application. Answer ALL questions clearly and completely and provide supporting materials, if available.
Please submit a signed original plus (9) nine copies of your application materials to: South Hadley Cultural Council, South Hadley Library, 27 Bardwell Street, South Hadley, 01075.
For questions about the application process, please email: culturalcouncil@shadleyma.org.
