Southbridge Culural Council priorities will include (not in order of importance)
Applications are open to the following categories: Southbridge applicants (individuals), artists, performers, private non-profit organizations, schools, library, or other non-profit public agencies, religious groups and the local cultural council itself. Applicants from other areas of the state are also considered with the same criteria restrictions. The activity must take place in Southbridge and the venue and date confirmed BEFORE submission of the grant application, The event t must be advertized according to criteria rules of MCC and SCC. Refer to MCC specifics as noted in the grant letter and under MCC Contracts/Requirements. The Mcc logo may be used and is available at the MCC web site. Recognition of the SCC must be mentioned at the venue presentation.
The event must be open to the public and be handicapped accessible.
Activities and cultural events that take place must reach the largest potential audiences.
Art forms or humanities programs that are under-represented in the community.
Any new applicants or projects interested in promoting cultural diversity in the community.
A change of venue or date of performance requires a job modification letter to the SCC for approval before the event takes place.
Only admission portion of Field Trip grants is funded by the SCC ALL reimbursement forms with all documented materials must be submitted no later than 1 year of the grant acceptance letter. Funds must be released for payment after the performance and only for materials, services rendered and not for mileage and marketing which are not paid for by the SCC from the grant request in the approved application. The official reimbursement form online must be used for payment. All applications for grants are due October 15th each year as determined by the MCC. There are no exceptions to the deadline date . /ul> All applications must be date stamped by the Town Manager's Office on time. Three complete copies of the official application form are necessary for submission.and must be typed and signed by the applicant. The online application form is the only valid form acceptable . Old application forms will not be accepted. Completed online applications can be printed and submitted to the local council ( 3 copies) by the deadline.
