Funding Priorities
Our funding priorities are for proposals that have a broad community appeal, represent new or previously unsupported artists, particularly local artists, and demonstrate a clear benefit to Walpole.
Applicants MUST submit a letter of support from a local sponsor. Proposals that have a local sponsor or contact are given preference.
The Walpole community has indicated they wish us to support projects that involve community-wide events, that appeal to families, youth, and/or seniors, or that provide arts education in our schools and community.
We encourage and wish to support programs across all disciplines.
Local Guidelines
An application which is well planned, has a local sponsor in place, and a clear, well-prepared budget is viewed more favorably. (Should you have any questions about preparing your application, please contact us prior to the October 15 deadline via our email address, walpoleculturalcouncil@yahoo.com).
We request that if you are submitting multiple applications that you indicate the order in which you would like to see them funded.
For each application you submit, please make multiple paper copies (8), one for each active member of the Walpole Cultural Council.
No hand-delivered applications will be accepted.
As we do not receive funds until January, projects should be scheduled for the upcoming year between January 1 and December 31.
