The Waltham Cultural Council makes LCC and Field Trip grants to artists, groups and educational institutions to help fund events in the arts, humanities, or interpretive sciences that will enrich the Waltham Community. Priority is given to activities that take place in Waltham, directly benefit Waltham citizens, and that will appeal to a diverse population (gender, age, ethnicity, disability) and encouraging diversity in performances and events. New applicants and events are encouraged to apply. The WCC will accept applications from Sept. 1 through Oct. 15, for events that occur between July 1 of the application year and December 31 of the following calendar year.
News & Events
We had a wonderful Grantees Appreciation Event in May, attended by several grantees, the honorable Mayor McCarthy, and city councillors George Darcy (Ard 3) and Joseph Vizard (at large). Thank you all who came to this WCC-sponsored brunch, shared their projects, and to the WCC members who cooked and donated refreshments!
Our next full council meeting will be JUNE 20, 6 pm, City Hall (2nd floor) and as with all WCC meetings, is open to the public to observe.
