Funding Priorities
The West Brookfield Cultural Council will adhere to the following funding policies for yealy allocated state funds and/or funds raised by the local council: Funds may only be used to support programs in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences. We do not fund captial expenditures. Funds must be expended within a 12 month period; fiscal year is from January 1st to December 31st, or beginning when funds are transferred to the local account. Funds not used within the 12-month period will be voted on and allocated to other projects.
(Not in order of preference) 1. Proposals for programs serving youth. 2. Proposals for programs serving seniors.
Local Guidelines
We require that projects have a local sponsoring agency in our community with a contact and with date and times in place. Acknowledgement will be given to the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the granting West Brookfield Cultural Council in all newspaper and radio publicity, signage, and billboards. Proof of publicilty must be submitted with the reimbursement form.
