NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 5:30 PM ADAMS ACADEMY, 8 ADAMS STREET, QUINCY Quincy Arts Council will meet on Tuesday, November 17, at 5:30 PM at Quincy Historical Society, Adams Academy Building, 8 Adams Street, Quincy MA 02169. At this meeting the Council will review and make funding decisions on 2016 Local Cultural Council grant applications.
The purpose of the Quincy Arts Council and other LCCs is to encourage and foster local activities in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences. The principal way in which the Council does this is the awarding of grants to individuals, organizations and schools engaged in activities in these three areas. In addition to the grant-making process, Quincy Arts Council has a broad, general mandate to foster the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in Quincy through other means. In order to apply for an LCC grant, applicants must meet all eligibility and criteria requirements of the LCC Program.

Quincy Arts Council may reach any of three decisions on an application: to award a grant for the full amount requested, to award a grant for part of the amount requested, or not to award a grant for the application. The Council also reserves the right to award a grant subject to conditions.
