During the summer of 2013, the Council sought input from the community through a survey available at Sandwich Fest and accessible through the Town's website. The survey results indicated the arts in education, community-wide events, and support of artists to be among the Sandwich community's funding priorities. Council members are pleased that the applications received for 2014 allowed these priorities to be honored to such a large extent.
The Sandwich Cultural Council supports and promotes local projects and programs of interest to the residents of Sandwich. Funds are awarded for programs in the arts (including performance, music, visual, crafts, media, folk, design, literary, and interdisciplinary arts), humanities (including history, social studies, philosophy, criticism, and literature), and interpretive sciences (engaging people in learning about nature, science, and technology in ways that connect to their lives). The Sandwich Cultural Council is a group of volunteers who take the time to help promote and facilitate cultural activities and the arts in Sandwich. We are seeking new members, for more information please visit our town page.
